Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A mermaid platter; A tile with a barmaid; A tile with the portrait of a lady; A tile with the portrait of a lady with a hat; and A small dish by Quentin Bell was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 625.00 (€ 760.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Quentin Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vase, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A mermaid platter; A tile with a barmaid; A tile with the portrait of a lady; A tile with the portrait of a lady with a hat; and A small dish von Quentin Bell kam im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 625,00 (€ 760,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Quentin Bell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vase beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.756,66) versteigert wurde.
