Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Qu Dajun was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,918.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qu Dajun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,432.09).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Qu Dajun wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.918,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
