This artwork by Qian Feng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Feng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Letters, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 137,000.00 (€ 101,219.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Feng erzielte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.257,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Feng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Letters beobachtet, die im September 2013 für USD 137.000,00 (€ 101.219,06) versteigert wurde.
