In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Still Life with Amphora Vase & Fruit by Qian Ding. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 225,000.00 (€ 23,374.97), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qian Ding; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shadow of Pagoda in Autumn Woods sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 24,673.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Amphora Vase & Fruit von Qian Ding zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 23.374,97) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qian Ding; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shadow of Pagoda in Autumn Woods im Mai 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 24.673,58).
