The work Zhong Kui by Pu Ru was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. It achieved a price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 31,166.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pu Ru achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album of Paintings and Calligraphy in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 21,725,000.00 (€ 2,380,265.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Zhong Kui von Pu Ru wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 31.166,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pu Ru erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album of Paintings and Calligraphy im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 21.725.000,00 (€ 2.380.265,84).
