This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 5,000,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Album of Paintings and Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Pu Ru that we have observed at auctions so far.
