Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Bats And Zhong Kui by Pu Ru. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 115,000.00 (€ 11,839.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pu Ru achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album of Paintings and Calligraphy in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 21,725,000.00 (€ 2,380,265.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bats And Zhong Kui von Pu Ru zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 115.000,00 (€ 11.839,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pu Ru erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album of Paintings and Calligraphy im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 21.725.000,00 (€ 2.380.265,84).
