The work The Madonna and Child with a goldfinch, with the Infant Saint John the Baptist and an Angel by Pseudo Pier Francesco Fiorentino was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings auction at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 55,463.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pseudo Pier Francesco Fiorentino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna and Child with a goldfinch, which sold at auction in January 2010 for USD 290,500.00 (€ 209,444.84).
