Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Clotho by Pseudo-Caroselli was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,149.43). Admittedly, works by Pseudo-Caroselli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory Of The Sense Of Smell And Hearing; And An Allegory Of The Sense Of Sight in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,263.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Clotho von Pseudo-Caroselli im November 2018 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.149,43) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pseudo-Caroselli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory Of The Sense Of Smell And Hearing; And An Allegory Of The Sense Of Sight im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.263,15).
