Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lincoln and his sons by Pruett Alexander Carter was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,154.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pruett Alexander Carter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Her face as rapt as any of the boys', Lyle would listen to Brian, learning at those campfires to face grief without trembling", which sold at auction in May this year for USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,607.85).
