A top price for Prosper Barrigue de Fontainieu - as previously expected
The work Naples, The Gulf of Pozzuoli by Prosper Barrigue de Fontainieu was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,227.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Naples, The Gulf of Pozzuoli is the most expensive artwork by Prosper Barrigue de Fontainieu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Naples, The Gulf of Pozzuoli von Prosper Barrigue de Fontainieu wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.227,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
