Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three children in the wind by Alice Bolam Preston was sold in the Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,000.00 (€ 674.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alice Bolam Preston - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vogue Dress Materials for the Spring, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 2,813.00 (€ 1,897.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three children in the wind von Alice Bolam Preston wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.000,00 (€ 674,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alice Bolam Preston mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vogue Dress Materials for the Spring beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 2.813,00 (€ 1.897,98) versteigert wurde.
