Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vue de Naxos by Polykleitos Rengos was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 4,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Polykleitos Rengos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraportiani à Mykonos in May this year with an auction result of EUR 35,655.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vue de Naxos von Polykleitos Rengos kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Polykleitos Rengos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraportiani à Mykonos im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.655,00.
