Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Woman Tying Her Sandals by Placido Costanzi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 858.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Placido Costanzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Narcissus And Echo in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 150,887.57).

Die Arbeit A Young Woman Tying Her Sandals von Placido Costanzi kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 858,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
