A top price for Pio Fedi - as previously expected
The work Cleopatra by Pio Fedi was sold in the 19th & 20th Century Sculpture auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 221,641.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cleopatra is the most expensive artwork by Pio Fedi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Cleopatra von Pio Fedi wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion 19th & 20th Century Sculpture bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 221.641,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cleopatra das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pio Fedi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
