However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Ricchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Queen Tomyris with the head of King Cyrus, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 68,500.00 (€ 53,498.91).

Die Arbeit Maddalena von Pietro Ricchi kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 23.050,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Ricchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Queen Tomyris with the head of King Cyrus beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 68.500,00 (€ 53.498,91) versteigert wurde.
