In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Still life with a spoonbill, a woodcock, and game birds by Pietro Navarra. The »bidding war« ended at USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,031.71), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Navarra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Melons, Grapes, Peaches And Figs On The Ground And A Corinthian Capital, A Glass And Flask On A Pewter Tray And Fruit In A Glass Bowl, All Atop A Carpet Set On A Marble Ledge With A Classical Building Beyond, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 66,000.00 (€ 52,281.37).

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with a spoonbill, a woodcock, and game birds von Pietro Navarra zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.031,71) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Navarra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Melons, Grapes, Peaches And Figs On The Ground And A Corinthian Capital, A Glass And Flask On A Pewter Tray And Fruit In A Glass Bowl, All Atop A Carpet Set On A Marble Ledge With A Classical Building Beyond beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 66.000,00 (€ 52.281,37) versteigert wurde.
