Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Barcaiolo in laguna by Pietro Fragiacomo was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at EUR 22,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pietro Fragiacomo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Segelschiffe in der Lagune sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of EUR 37,200.00.
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Barcaiolo in laguna von Pietro Fragiacomo im Mai 2019 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 22.000,00 mehr als viermal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pietro Fragiacomo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Segelschiffe in der Lagune im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 37.200,00.
