Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale Part II, which included the work View of the Harbor of Livorno by Pietro della Valle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,552.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Pietro della Valle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2009 the work Italian Bay Of Naples was auctioned for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,068.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the Harbor of Livorno von Pietro della Valle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.552,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Pietro della Valle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2009 die Arbeit Italian Bay Of Naples für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.068,83) versteigert.
