In the OLD MASTER PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND FRAMES auction, the work Fantasy portrait of Ugo Alberti IV, seated, half-length, with a sword changed hands for USD 11,750.00 (€ 13,897.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pietro Damini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Series Of Commemorative Portraits in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 69,164.47).
