Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Fico by Pietro Capogrosso was worth EUR 2,375.00 to a buyer in April 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art 1953-2003, A Private Collection at Sothebys in Milan and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 700.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pietro Capogrosso; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bunker sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of EUR 3,000.00.
