Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fishermen in the Venetian Lagoon by Pietro Barucci was sold in the 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist auction at Christies in London in June 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 11,813.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Barucci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traghetto sul lago, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 29,400,000.00 (€ 26,424.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fishermen in the Venetian Lagoon von Pietro Barucci wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.637,50 (€ 11.813,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Barucci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traghetto sul lago beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 29.400.000,00 (€ 26.424,00) versteigert wurde.
