Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2003 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work A View of The Palazzo Donn' Anna on the Coast of Posillipo, Bay of Naples by Pietro Barucci. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,767.50 (€ 6,753.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Barucci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traghetto sul lago, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 29,400,000.00 (€ 26,424.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View of The Palazzo Donn' Anna on the Coast of Posillipo, Bay of Naples von Pietro Barucci zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.767,50 (€ 6.753,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Barucci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traghetto sul lago beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 29.400.000,00 (€ 26.424,00) versteigert wurde.
