Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Tulips, narcissi, roses and other flowers in a glass vase on a table-top with a jewellery box and a pocketwatch by Pieter van de Venne was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 25,250.00 (€ 30,117.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter van de Venne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, Irises And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase, With Butterflies, Sea Shells And A Pocket Watch, All Arranged In A Stone Niche , which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 87,150.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Tulips, narcissi, roses and other flowers in a glass vase on a table-top with a jewellery box and a pocketwatch von Pieter van de Venne im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
