Auction result misses estimated price range

The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artw Admittedly, works by Pieter van Boucle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Automne: Nature Morte Aux Choux, Céleris, Raisins Et Gibier in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 66,750.00.

Als die Arbeit A Still Life With Numerous Birds In A Basket, Together With Rabbits, A Bowl Of Fruit, Asparagus, And Two Parrots On A Table Draped With Red And White Clothes, Together With A Side Of Lamb On A Basket von Pieter van Boucle im Dezember 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.576,18) den Besitzer.
