Commentaire : Ce délicat petit cuivre témoigne de la grande postérité d'une ingénieuse composition élaborée par Hans Rottenhammer vers 1597 dont on peut aujourd'hui admirer un exemple dans les collections bavaroises (huile sur cuivre, 33 x 44 cm)1. Sur un support similaire mais de plus petit format, Schoubroeck a quelque peu simplifié la composition sans en perdre la préciosité et la profondeur.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Baptême Du Christ by Pieter Schoubroeck was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2021. The price achieved of EUR 13,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Schoubroeck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dorffest. in September 2014 with an auction result of CHF 72,000.00 (€ 59,673.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Baptême Du Christ von Pieter Schoubroeck kam im Juni 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Schoubroeck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dorffest. im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 72.000,00 (€ 59.673,11).
