Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Flower still life with an urn by Pieter Hardime was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 30,000.00 (€ 3,268.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Hardime - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, tulips, morning glory, carnations, delphinium, primrose, narcissi and other flowers in a basket on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in October 2003 for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,472.44).
