Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work In the office by Pieter de Josselin de Jong. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Josselin de Jong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian Morra players in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 43,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the office von Pieter de Josselin de Jong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Josselin de Jong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian Morra players im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.500,00.
