Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work Vessels along the Dutch coast at sunset by Pieter Cornelis Dommersen. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Cornelis Dommersen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A river estuary with fishermen unloading the catch with a two-master beyond. in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 30,550.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vessels along the Dutch coast at sunset von Pieter Cornelis Dommersen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Cornelis Dommersen erzielen.
