In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Man, Traditionally Identified As The Artist'S Nephew by Pieter Christoffel Wonder. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,738.25), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pieter Christoffel Wonder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The content smoker sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of EUR 6,875.00.

Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Traditionally Identified As The Artist'S Nephew von Pieter Christoffel Wonder zur Versteigerung kam.
