The price achieved of EUR 1,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The encounter is the most expensive artwork by Piet van Engelen that we have observed at auctions so far.
