A top price for Pierre-Paul Sevin - as previously expected
In January last year Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work The Wedding at Cana, after Paolo Veronese by Pierre-Paul Sevin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,986.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Wedding at Cana, after Paolo Veronese is the most expensive artwork by Pierre-Paul Sevin that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Wedding at Cana, after Paolo Veronese von Pierre-Paul Sevin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.986,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
