Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Adrienne de Canisy, Duchess of Vicence (1785-1876) by Pierre-Paul Prud'Hon was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The price achieved of EUR 100,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre-Paul Prud'Hon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Madame Péan De Saint-Gilles, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 456,000.00 (€ 350,823.20).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Adrienne de Canisy, Duchess of Vicence (1785-1876) von Pierre-Paul Prud'Hon kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 100.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
