This artwork by Pierre-Ernest Ballue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures auction, the work A Rural French Village sold for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pierre-Ernest Ballue; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vue d'Antibes sold at auction in April 2001 with the realized price of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,061.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre-Ernest Ballue erzielte im November 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures wurde die Arbeit A Rural French Village für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pierre-Ernest Ballue; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vue d'Antibes im April 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 6.061,59).
