Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Claude Monet in front of his work ‘Les nymphéas’, 1920s by Pierre Choumoff was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 5,625.00 (€ 605.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Choumoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auguste Rodin, Portraits Et Sculptures, Vers 191514 Vintage Silver Prints. Each Print Titled And Four Signed In Black Ink By The Photographer. 13 Prints Bear The Photographer'S Copyright Stamp And 2 The Photographer'S Stamp On The Reverse. 4 Prints Are In in November 2013 with an auction result of EUR 6,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Claude Monet in front of his work ‘Les nymphéas’, 1920s von Pierre Choumoff im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 5.625,00 (€ 605,62) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Choumoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auguste Rodin, Portraits Et Sculptures, Vers 191514 Vintage Silver Prints.
