The work Cottages by the coast by Phoebe Donovan was sold in the THE IRISH SALE auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 998.75 (€ 1,391.51), 66% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Phoebe Donovan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Orchard, Provence sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,475.07).

Die Arbeit Cottages by the coast von Phoebe Donovan wurde im Mai 2003 in der Auktion THE IRISH SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.391,51) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Phoebe Donovan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Orchard, Provence im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.475,07).
