Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Textured Threads by Phoebe Beasley for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,839.05). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phoebe Beasley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dressy Concession, 1994, which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,889.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Textured Threads von Phoebe Beasley für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.839,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Phoebe Beasley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dressy Concession, 1994 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.889,03) versteigert wurde.
