Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 8,528 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000 - 9,000. Admittedly, works by Philippe Francq have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 39,900.

Die Arbeit Largo Winch - Tome 2 von Philippe Francq kam im Februar 2023 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 8.528 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000 – 9.000. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philippe Francq auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.900.
