Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection, which included the work The artist sketching in Jamaica by Philip Wickstead. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,599.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Philip Wickstead have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2008 the work Portrait Of Ronald Crawford was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,850.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist sketching in Jamaica von Philip Wickstead zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.599,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Philip Wickstead konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2008 die Arbeit Portrait Of Ronald Crawford für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.850,31) versteigert.
