Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philip van Leeuwen could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners auction, the work Nocturnal Landscape With The Plundering Of A Village changed hands for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,833.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip van Leeuwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Notturna Con Borgo Incendiato, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 5,580.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip van Leeuwen konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners wechselte die Arbeit Nocturnal Landscape With The Plundering Of A Village für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.833,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip van Leeuwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Notturna Con Borgo Incendiato beobachtet, die im November 2006 für EUR 5.580,00 versteigert wurde.
