In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Horse and Jockey 41cm (16 1/8in) long by Philip Blacker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,045.15), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Blacker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse and Jockey, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,114.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horse and Jockey 41cm (16 1/8in) long von Philip Blacker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 3.045,15) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Blacker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horse and Jockey beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.114,90) versteigert wurde.
