Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philibert Léon Couturier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding time, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,298.24).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Basses-cours von Philibert Léon Couturier kam im April 2014 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Philibert Léon Couturier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Feeding time beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 5.875,00 (€ 6.298,24) versteigert wurde.
