Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Setting out to sea by Petrus Paulus Schiedges was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,440.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrus Paulus Schiedges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset over the beach of Scheveningen, with the Badhuis and the Paviljoen von Wied in the foreground in October 2004 with an auction result of EUR 20,315.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Setting out to sea von Petrus Paulus Schiedges kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.440,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrus Paulus Schiedges erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset over the beach of Scheveningen, with the Badhuis and the Paviljoen von Wied in the foreground im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.315,00.
