In November 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism., which included the work A Sunlit Canal With Figures By A Vegetable Stall by Pieter Gerardus Vertin. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Gerardus Vertin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Laundry Day In A Dutch Town in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 20,650.00.

Im November 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism. durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sunlit Canal With Figures By A Vegetable Stall von Pieter Gerardus Vertin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Gerardus Vertin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Laundry Day In A Dutch Town im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.650,00.
