Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,730.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Petr Nikolaevich Gruzinsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The lovers' escape, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,708.92).
