Despite a disappointment, a good price for Petr Ivanovich Lvov
This work of art by Petr Ivanovich Lvov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work Sleeping Mandelstam changed hands for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,004.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Sleeping Mandelstam is the most expensive artwork by Petr Ivanovich Lvov that we have observed at auction so far.
