Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Christies held the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection, which included the work A Letter From Home by Peter Paul Marshall. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,999.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Paul Marshall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenes From Clerical Life: The Labourer Is Worthy Of His Bread in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,175.69).
