Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hill County Landscape by Peter Lanz Hohnstedt was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,320.00 (€ 962.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Lanz Hohnstedt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Texas Bluebonnets, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,268.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hill County Landscape von Peter Lanz Hohnstedt kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.320,00 (€ 962,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Lanz Hohnstedt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Texas Bluebonnets beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.268,81) versteigert wurde.
