Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled 3 Works by Peter Gee. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,091.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Gee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled [4 Works|AID162869] in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,793.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 3 Works von Peter Gee zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.091,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Gee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled [4 Works|AID162869] im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.793,02).
