Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Austrian mütterglück (Mother'S Pride) by Peter Fendi. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,050.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Fendi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sneaking A Peek, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 43,360.00 (€ 63,149.33).
